Cross plate shears (3 m) is a geotechnical test instrument for directly testing the undrained shear strength of clay at the engineering site.The maximum test depth of this set of instruments can reach 3 m, range 0~260 kPa, accuracy is better than 10%. Test method: manually press into the soil layer, torsion test.

Instrument composition

The instrument consists of 1 torsion gauge ,6 extension rods ,4 cross heads of different sizes and 1 plate head rod

 and auxiliary wrench 3.

1. Torque meter: the torsion meter is a measuring device for the shear strength of soil, which measures the resistance of the cross plate head to the soil when shearing torsion in the soil, so as to obtain the shear strength of the measured soil.
2.  Extension rod: The extension rod is used to connect the cross plate head and the torsion meter. There are 6 extension rods with diameter

 Up to 3 m. after the Φ10mm, length 500 mm ,6 extension rod is connected

1. Cross plate head: a total of 4 sizes to fit the test of soil with different shear strength. as shown in Table 1. Table 1 Heading parameters
